Establishing 6 new Silos projects with a total Storage capacity of 420,000 tons (12% of the existing storage capacity of GoE)

Assessing relevance and consistence of wheat storage needs identified in regards to address the situation in a short term and longer-term perspective.
Defining specific objectives and related outputs and outcomes to assess vulnerabilities, risks and bottleneck that affect the wheat supply at both international and national levels.
Ensuring consistency and complementary of the objectives and the outputs with other projects supporting the development of wheat storage facilities.
Defining and detailing the components and activities and duration for implementing the project.
Establishing the logical framework of the project from the indicative one and the relative monitoring and evaluating system including indicators;
Providing an Environmental and Social Management Framework, proportionate to the E&S risks identified and complying with the AFD E&S standards;
dentifying the contribution of the project climate co-benefit.
Assessing the operational modalities to define roles and capacities of the stakeholders at various levels of the wheat value chain (purchase, collect, storage, processing, and market distribution).
Defining the institutional and operational framework for project implementation, including a tentative organogram of the PMU and decentralized/local partners.
Establishing a preliminary financing plan and estimates for the projects’ CAPEX and OPEX.
